Visit the Portland Public School website for instructions on how to register your student for kindergarten, www.pps.net/kinderenroll.

Enroll via Paper

If you are unable to enroll online and are in need of paper registration forms, email our school office at mlight@pps.net to request a paper packet OR visit the office in person.

Important Kindergarten Dates

• Tues, 8/19 Kindergarten Popsicle Social, Capitol Hill Playground 6-7pm: Meet your teacher, grab a popsicle, socialize with other incoming families-families can bring any school supplies if they want. 

• Tues, 8/26 - Wed, 8/27: 20 min. 1-on-1 meetings with teacher, family & student (teachers will send out a sign up with dates/times)

• Thurs, 8/28 - Fri, 8/29: Kindergarten Ramp Up: Students will attend 1 full day of school (either Thurs or Fri) with ½ of their class to help ease into kindergarten. (Teachers will share which day your child will attend)

• Tues, 9/2: First Day of School for ALL Kindergartners!
